A. Eliot Higgins, founder of Bellingcat – exposed

1. Intro

It became clear on May 6, 2026, that in my post about the MH17, published in April, 2023, the links to two, in 2023 existing Bellingcat pages, both with pictures of a Russian BUK in Ukraine, in 2008, did not lead to the pages that I expected: the two links brought me this time both to the same page and the content and the pictures had been changed. Why did that happen? I found it so strange, that I started to search for info about Bellingcat, all the more so because during the last years I had frequently read comments in the social media that were warning against Bellingcat: Bellingcat was, according to these comments, not reliable. Today I found even more severe accusations, and when checking what information our “friend” Google was offering, I found, of course, that (for instance) The Grayzone1 and Voltaire Network2 are promoting conspiracy theories and are pro-Russia, pro-Iran and pro-Syria. Interesting! Why? During the years we get more and more, really excellently informed and educated via empirically proven to be reliable and independent sources, and that is why we, the public, know that the term conspiracy theory is a successful tool to keep the easy to manipulate public away from truth. Back to Bellingcat: their website has today a more advanced layout than in 2023, and I discovered that the posts show an undeniable anti-Russia approach, and are nothing less than western propaganda, used to legalize war and NATO expansion. That is an undeniable f a c t.

The two pictures that I found on their website in 2023 were actually evidence that Ukraine owned already Russian BUKs in 2008. Which is not strange at all, because Ukraine did not produce BUKs. Ukraine had these BUKs to defend itself against the west. Ukraine itself never felt the need to join NATO. The Ukrainian disinterest in becoming a NATO member is shown in reliable maps (Gallup), to be found in the MH17 blogpost. All this is important info however in the investigation of the downing of the MH17, so important that Bellingcat has removed the pictures. This is my hypothesis. It seems so, according to what is to be found on the web via “friend” Google, that Bellingcat and MH17 are also intertwined. Interesting!

About the BUKs in Ukraine:

The Bellingcat “research”, available on their website, is western propaganda3. Not strange when one finds via our “friend” Google who the Bellingcat sponsors are. What Bellingcat published however has been debunked by a.o.:

The Bellingcat disinformation made me decide to expose the founder of Bellingcat, to expose his one-sided anti-Russia approach, as a blogger, and a self-acclaimed journalist without any official education and therefore not educated in the ethics of journalism, and not an expert in the field of history, or politics. He has been used by the collective west as their useful idiot. He has been made complicit in all evil that is coming, created by NATO expansion, western propaganda, and deliberately provoking Russia (admitted by Jens Stoltenberg, source), making Russians’ blood boil, and reason why Russia is forced to react. The west will get where it is, and was, undeniably begging for. The west is waiting for the answer on their brutal provocations. Yes, the war was provoked. Jens, thanks for admitting this. All by independent investigative journalists and other experts (check list) published articles, and analytical discussions show that the war was provoked. But the provocations only increased.

The latest news, published May 22, 2026: Russia Declares World War 3, West On High Alert. News, published May 23, 2026 by Alexander Mercouris, reading aloud and analysing Putin’s statement, published after the Kiev drone attacks (3 in total) on a school dormitory in Lugansk republic, reported also by the Finnish politician Armando Mema. Note: western media outlets have not written or spoken about the drone attacks.

When sooner or later the Big Boys and Big Girls in Europe, the collective west, learn to know the reality of the escalating provoked aggression of Russia, they must stay Big Boys and Big Girls also then, take the consequences of their own western provocations, and not cowardly blaming the Russians for it.

Highlighted in it is the name Pieter Huis, and therefore it is interesting to check this PDF and screenshot, that I made on May 23, 2026, from the Bellingcat website. 2. How a simple, preoccupied amateur blogger could get an honorary doctorate (and why the university has to withdraw it)

Despite that what is written in the former chapter,

[the term “intelligence” has to be changed into “disinformation”, since “intelligence” is referring to in-depth thinking, independent, and Bellingcat itself shows, proves, not to be independent at all, even contributing to western propaganda, creating disinformation, and lies; in our time the term “intelligence” is abused everywhere and not guaranteeing per se real intelligence, deep knowledge, awareness and ethics; the CIA is also intelligence, also MI6, but shown to be corrupted, see article: “CIA: Undermining and Nazifying Ukraine Since 1953”, Admin]

– gathering and analysing information from publicly available sources

[publicly available “sources”: like videos, articles, published on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc. are used by Higgins to prove delicts of what opposes the west’s view on justice, what opposes their propaganda. It is a fact that the most of all the existing profiles in the social media do not offer a real name, use a fake profile picture, do not offer a link to a website, or any education. But also a lot of so-called science, published on PubMed, and other science platforms, and publishing so-called “peer reviewed” articles can be corrupted, this has been shown.

The most essential factor in the total of information, is the one who is an expert in analysing the utterly careful collected —not cherry picked— information from empirically proven to be reliable sources, and putting the information into the right and complete context. That context is directly related to the complete and most detailed knowledge —if there, and otherwise honestly mentioning not to be informed good enough to judge— of for example historical facts, economical developments etc, able to analyse political leaders and judge in the correct way their characteristics and behaviour, because of many decades long serious observations, not affected by personal emotions, wishes or preferences. He does not push the listener into any specific direction. Since I follow him now for several years, almost daily, I have learned to know Alexander Mercouris as one of the most sincere, reliable and the most intelligent political analysts in the world, weighing his words on a golden scale to avoid misunderstanding or to offend someone. He is also a unique educator who makes difficult subjects easy to understand for all. He creates deep insights, awareness, has a fabulous memory, and an overall picture of a certain subject.

Since Higgins turns out to be a useful western propaganda parrot, it is obvious that he uses only “sources” that fit in his assumptions, half truths, twisted truths, and lies, and the assumptions of all who embrace him because of his western propaganda, like the University of Leiden. It should be forbidden that universities welcome anonymous “sources” and taking their “info” so serious that these “can be used to guarantee historical accuracy and fair judicial process: data that can also be used as evidence in international criminal cases”. As happened with the Bellingcat “evidence”, to corrupt the MH17 investigations and even the trial. – Admin]

Propaganda is promoting just one side of the medal. The word “judicial”4 is related with justice, that choses what is right, truth, the full truth, and therefore neutral. The word judicial shows that it is impossible that propaganda can be used in a judicial process.]

Science cannot be committed to any particular beliefs, dogmas, or ideologies.

Attention: The preoccupied Higgins (pro-western collective and anti-Russia) found his “science” in the social media, and other open sources, and created “truth” out of his puzzling with what he found there, and was fitting in his anti-Russia mindset, and anti-Russia attitude. He said: ‘Ban algorithms on social media, they poison our democracy‘ but the term democracy is falsely used: Higgins is collecting and publishing only that what serves his beliefs, dogma’s and ideologies. In a democracy all views are welcome, and censorship and propaganda are characteristics of totalitarianism. Not of democracy. The EU in Brussels shows to be transforming into a totalitarian regime5. University Leiden is abusing the term “university”, since the term is derived from the Latin universitas, meaning “the whole”. Leiden University rejects the whole, and supports propaganda for just one detail of the whole. 3. Who is Eliot Higgins?

! Attention: the words that are not correctly used, or related with bias, libel and slander, when “analysis” or “investigations” are provided by Bellingcat, and therefore disinformation and propaganda, are coloured with yellow, and also footnotes have been added.

Eliot Higgins is a British journalist and founder of investigative website Bellingcat. He is a well-known supporter6 of open source and free to access information which is reflected by his work and lectures7.

After high school Higgins studied media technology at Southampton Institute for Higher Education. He ultimately dropped out and became interested in investigative journalism after some years of working administrative jobs. At this point he had already been blogging under the pseudonym ‘Brown Moses’. Whilst watching something on the conflict in Lybia in 2011, Higgins noticed the great amount of relevant8 information posted on social media that got ignored because it couldn’t be verified9. This was the first time he applied the ‘Bellingcat method,’ which means cunningly combining footage10, maps and other online information11 to answer questions on serious subjects such as bombardments and assassinations.

This raised Higgins’ enthusiasm for the job after which he founded Bellingcat. These days the investigation initiative has dozens of organizations and philanthropists to fund its activities and has grown to a renowned collective. Famous and influential investigations of the website include the ones on the War in Ukraine12, the crash of MH-1713, the Syrian Civil War14, the Yemeni Civil War and the poisoning of the supposed Russian double agent Sergei Skripal15,16,17 and his daughter.

Higgins and Bellingcat are currently preoccupied with lots of similar investigations and other projects. Amongst these, Higgins is mainly excited about the development of a reverse-image search for online videos.

  • The books of Ivan Katchanovski, Benoît Paré, and the White Book, published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in March 2014, plus the NYT article, published on June 14, 2014, and the in 1 mentioned Human Rights Watch articles, plus the documentary about Donbass, are crucial to create an exact view on the real political situation in Ukraine, to be able to find the real culprit, within the downing of the MH17.
  • The books did not exist yet on November 17, 2022 (court decision).
  • The NYT article however did indeed exist, but was “overlooked”(?), together with the Human Rights Watch letter and articles, plus The White Book, a report of violations of human rights in Ukraine from November 2013 till March 2014, published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. This study was not taken into account, which proves that the Judges in the court case were not objective, but committed to the NATO / Pentagon, Washington scenario.
  • All this together shows that the court case end result was a scam, therefore illegal, and has to be re-opened, to start from scratch.

The October 2025 published book: “The Russia-Ukraine War and its Origins“, written by professor Ivan Katchanovski, offers the evidence that in early 2014 a by the USA well-prepared civil war started in Ukraine, as part of the total war somewhere in the future, with Russia. All started in Kiev, with the Maidan Massacre [17 February 2014], the killing of hundred innocent people, by pro-USA forces. This has been in-depth investigated by professor Ivan Katchanovsky, and been exposed via his analyses of many videos that have also been used also as evidence during a trial. Also the court sessions have been filmed, and are published on professor Katchanovsky’s YouTube channel. The Maidan Massacre was the intro to the also by the USA well-prepared and backed coup, that took place in Kiev, on February 21, 2014. [Watch: discussion about the book.]

This book creates therefore also the immediate necessity of a re-opening of the MH17 case: because on July 17, 2014, there was a war in South East Ukraine, between separatists in Donbass (the MH17 was flying over Donbass/ Donetsk, so over a war zone in Ukraine) and the USA/Kiev regime, under the full control of Washington, in which many thousands1 of Ukrainians were killed in the South East, by Kiev.

Donbass, a documentary, made by Anne Laure Bonnel, after she travelled to Donbass on January 15, 2015, to film the unbelievable. The documentary was published on her YouTube channel in 2022.


Porochenko in 2014:
“We will have benefits for pensioners and children, they will not!
Our children will go to school and kindergarden, their children will stay in the cellars!
Because they can’t do anything.
And that’s how, precisely that, we will win this war.”

WAR
Mind the word “war“, because this is a rejected detail in the MH17 court case, and reason why the final court decision plead “guilty” into the direction of Russia. Benoît Paré shows in his book ( a diary), published in 2025, how the US-sponsored Ukrainian ultranationalist project provoked Moscow’s reaction. This is also a missing detail in the final court case decision. Reason why the court case has to be re-opened.

This website explains on November 15, 2014, that Poroshenko’s words have been taken out of the true context. However: the new scientific evidence of the reality in Ukraine came not earlier than 2025, via professor Ivan Katchanovski, and Benoît Paré. The study from March 2014 provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in “White Book“, is not accepted as reliable (because Russian originated), while it has to be part of an independent investigation, independent media, and court cases (Lady Justice is independent).

Other reliable sources have simply been ignored, like the info provided by Human-Rights Watch, the info provided by Consortium News, the New York Times, and Voltaire Net. Taking this new, plus older but ignored, evidence into account here, the words Porochenko spoke, have to be understood exactly for what they are: western propaganda, pro NATO, pro USA, and anti-Russia.

He wrote the book: The Will to Lead: America’s Indispensable Role in the Global Fight for Freedom. The title is a scam, glorifying a CIA ruled, economic fascist regime [Economic Fascism][CIA: Undermining and Nazifying Ukraine Since 1953]. “The will to lead” is based on white supremacism, racism, modern colonialism, and derived from the ideological dreaming (phantasy), that USA has to be the hegemon [The US motivation is to be number one, (bottom page 5)]. The US does not fight for freedom, it follows a typically American crooks system: regime change everywhere possible in the world via a coup, followed by theft, exploitation of all what is below the surface of the soil of a country, like oil and rare minerals, and when all is taken, leaving the country ruined behind, and in extreme poverty. This is proven via statements, from former ambassadors, witnesses, colonels, CIA analysts, history writers, etc. to be found in this list: Political Analysts / Experts. Anders Fogh Rasmussen is therefore legalizing, even promoting the war in Ukraine, guilty of demonizing Russia, supporting a war-criminal regime in Washington and complicit, together with Stoltenberg and Rutte, in the elimination of young Ukrainians, who were and still are pushed (arrested on the streets and transported) to fight in a completely meaningless NATO war that could have been avoided, following logic, and diplomacy, in a very simple way. On NATO’s banner is written: “Provoke! Fight! Die! For us, NATO!” The USA is practicing pathological political meddling world wide, with the mask of the Good Guy, while being the aggressor, the human rights violator even in its own USA, and committing war crimes.

2. RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

The MH17 was flying over a war-zone, on July 17, 2014. Entire Ukraine was a war zone since February 2014, and reason why in the meantime passenger flights from London and Paris were avoiding the Ukrainian airspace.

Question 1: Why did the new, pro-American Ukrainian government at the time, in 2014, not warn the Netherlands—a befriended nation, therefore, because it is pro-American—of the extreme danger concerning flying over a war zone, Donetsk/Donbass?

Question 2: Who is/are primarily liable for the downing of MH17?
Apparently—and one can state that this is highly remarkable or dangerously negligent—no briefing took place from Ukraine to the countries outside, the EU, and thus not with the Netherlands either; otherwise, this disaster would never have occurred. One may assume with certainty that the danger of an airplane crash in Kyiv was known, especially since the country was—and is—informed, supported, and coached by the USA. The USA has control over everything; it has informants and supervisors. The CIA. It is therefore evident that the Ukrainian government was fully aware of the war in Donetsk and of real and life-threatening dangers concerning air traffic in the airspace above Donetsk.

Question 3: When will people in Europe, in the Netherlands, become aware of the liability, of the unforgivable negligence of Ukraine and the USA in this matter?

Question 4: Is the withholding of information, the failure to issue warnings, resulting in such a disaster, to be charged as WAR CRIME, in this case committed by the USA and Ukraine?

3. TO BE INVESTIGATED: THE ROLE OF RUTTE

3a. Rutte today, as NATO secretary general.

Rutte is excessively active in spreading NATO war-propaganda, uses extremely provocative, rude, humiliating rhetoric, filled with delusional grandeur, misinformation and pathological lies. Unfortunately the one despicable video has been withdrawn from YouTube, recently published, the one in which Rutte requests parents to sacrifice their sons and daughters to the NATO war against Russia, while demonizing Putin, who has factually not asked anything else than a neutral Ukraine, and the end of NATO expansion, in order to protect his own people against NATO expansion and NATO aggression. 3b. TO BE INVESTIGATED: Rutte’s role in the MH17 story, his absent information to Schiphol and Malaysia that Ukraine’s airspace should be avoided: and THUS

1. his possible, even conscious choice in 2014, NOT to warn Schiphol in order to demonstrate to NATO that he is willing to do anything [the goal justifies the means] to become NATO Secretary General

2. and thus meet the conditions to pass the screening regarding 100% loyalty to NATO interests

3. and thus war industry interests, and to demonstrate cooperation with NATO objectives—in this case the downfall of Russia, the end of Russia—and create anti-Russia sentiment in the Netherlands and elsewhere in the world,

4. and THUS even willing sacrifice innocent civilians, in order to turn the anti-Russia sentiment into deep-black hatred, disgust, and to make the Dutch willing to sacrifice their children and grandchildren to a war that could have been prevented if the truth had come to light, but which is heavily censored.

3c. TO BE INVESTIGATED: the procedure of becoming a NATO secretary general

  • When does a search for a new secretary general start?
  • Are eventual candidates monitored, and then invited if they are maybe interested in the job?
  • What must the skills of the new secretary general be?
  • Are there tests, exams, investigations, going deep into a candidate’s personal life, education, family, circle of friends, sexual preferences, religion, etc., similar to what candidate ambassadors or UN secretary candidates have to endure, or even worse?

4. THE ROLE OF KIEV, POROCHENKO AND USA

If Porochenko “forgot” to warn Rutte, then it is Porochenko / the USA who are the one and only culprit and fully accountable for the consequences of the failure to inform, or the intentional NOT informing, because they had, like Rutte as secretary general of NATO once in the then nearby future, a personal interest in the downing of MH17, since this “accident” incited hatred against Russia, fuelled the ignorant people’s desire for revenge, and legalized NATO expansion.

The Kiev coup regime / the collective west and mainstream media legalized the war with lies, misinformation, silencing information, Putin was demonized because a killer, NATO terrorism was upgraded to heroic deeds, and NATO expansion was made necessary via lies.

In my hypothesis the downing of the MH17 was planned, and nothing less than a conspiracy. Those who were sacrificed, passengers and crew of the MH17, are —like those who were killed in the Maidan Massacre, 5 months earlier, orchestrated and executed by pro-USA terrorists, source the scientific work of Ivan Katchanovski, free available here— martyrs, victims of western colonialism, greed and American hegemony.

5. REOPENING OF THE MH17 CASE

The latest book by Maidan Massacre expert, the scientist Ivan Katchanovski, and the book of Benoit Paré, “What I saw in Ukraine, 2015-2022 – Diary of an International Observer, are pieces of evidence that have not been discussed or mentioned in any Dutch newspaper article, NOS broadcast, Pauw, Jinek, etc..

Benoît Paré’s book starts with the Ukraine after the downing of the MH17, but it contains important information about the situation, the facts and acts we never heard via the mainstream media, and the judge in the court case not either. This book is an official report about the political facts and acts in South East Ukraine, and how the US-sponsored Ukrainian ultranationalist project provoked Moscow’s reaction. Of the highest importance is also the White Book On Violations Of Human Rights And the Rule of Law in Ukraine – 2013/2014, published in April 2014, by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to learn to understand the expansion of the civil war in Ukraine into a full-scale civil war, in the summer of 2014, when the MH17 was flying IN and OVER the war-zone, IN Ukraine, not in Russia. That Russia intervened in the civil war was due to the violations of human rights in Donbass, where many Russians live. In the documentary made by Anne-Laure Bonnel you can also see at 33:38 in the video a Russian humanitarian convoy with food, and other needs, for the people in Donbass.

These books, articles and videos are the evidence that lies have been told, the truth concealed, while NATO propaganda and lies are tolerated, not even discussed. Sacrificing your children to senseless violence is absurd. But tolerated. How bizarre is the time we live in now.

Note: In a video, published on April 21, 2026, the Dutch Ukraine-Russia-expert Marie-Thérèse ter Haar speaks about Rutte’s negligence to travel to Ukraine after the MH17 accident. He never went there. This fits within the hypothesis I shared above. Someone, including Rutte, who is part of the cause, according to my hypothesis, would then face the consequences of his own actions, and thus his own guilt, and so he stayed home.

6. WIKIPEDIA SPREADS MISINFORMATION, AND BLOCKS WORLD PEACE

Since the ignorant crowds use Wikipedia, I add the following about Wikipedia, and urge their editors to update the lies into evidence based science and facts. Because, as ambassador Jack Matlock says: “Western Leaders Became Ideological ‘War Criminals’ “. [But Wikipedia contributors and users do not understand who are ruling the world, and Wikipedia.]

6a. WIKIPEDIA IS NOT A RELIABLE SOURCE, WHY NOT?

  • Consensus-Based Content: The reality however is completely different from Wikipedia claims. The Wikipedia community is shaped as a pyramid, with many contributors at the base, and a powerful hierarchical system in many layers upward, with one final decisionmaker at the top who decides what is correct or not. So, though Wikipedia denies this, it IS indeed a dictatorial hierarchical system, that only SEEMS to be democratical. Contributors have all a nickname, and nobody, with some rare exceptions, knows their personal name, education, nationality. So, in case you “debate” about an issue, you do not have any idea with who you are discussing, his level of intelligence, education, etc.
  • Categories: In Wikipedia are several categories. Politics is one of these. Pages about politics are generally scam, and only those who are really informed, discover the scam, the lies, the misinformation, twisting of facts, etc. This is possible because the top of the pyramid follows the rules of the oligarchs behind the screens. Professor Ivan Katchanovski has been victim of scammers, Wikipedia contributors, who follow the mainstream media misinformation and upgrading this misinformation into facts, and, because of their power on the hierarchical vertical line to the top, they can remove scientific facts and add misinformation, even able to categorize the original text into “conspiracy theory”, and by doing so, humiliating the authentic author, the scientist. In public. There are lots of pages about people in the world, where only slander and lies is to be found. And it stays there. Not everybody has the skills to change it, or to remove it, do not know who to connect with who is able to delete the lies. Professor Ivan Katchanovski has discovered the names of the scammers and the text about subjects could be finally restored.
  • Source Citation: Wikipedia writes: “Information must be based on reputable, third-party sources (books, journals, reputable news)”. However, we know that we live in a world of lies, and that lies are the new truth. That science can be prostituted, that newspapers and other media are owned by oligarchs, who need the lies to continue their economic profit.
  • Neutrality: Though Wikipedia claims to be neutral: it is not neutral at all.

We need independent media. Independent investigative journalists. These have to be checked constantly as well. That is what I do. I have created a list with reliable sources, and this list is constantly edited.

6b. The Wikipedia MH17 data from 2014 has been completely deleted.

The flight details, as they were displayed on Wikipedia at the time, when I posted that memorial photo on Flickr (see also the information below the photo on Flickr), SO IN 2014:

On July 17, 2014, at 12:14 p.m. (CEST), the Boeing 777 departed from Schiphol Airport for a scheduled flight to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Shortly after 2:00 p.m. (CEST), the aircraft climbed from 31,000 feet (9,450 meters) to 33,000 feet (10,060 meters) upon entering Ukrainian airspace. The airspace over Ukraine was closed up to 32,000 feet (9,750 meters) but was open above that. The aircraft disappeared from radar around 3:18 p.m. (CEST) east of the Ukrainian city of Donetsk, 50 kilometers from the Russian border. At that time, it was following a more northerly route than in the preceding days. The reason for the deviating route over the conflict zone could have been a significant storm on the originally planned route. The wreckage of the aircraft was found scattered over an area of ​​35 square kilometers. The tail lay 10 kilometers away from other wreckage, an indication that the plane disintegrated at high altitude.

Note: In 2014, there was mention of a “conflict zone” and a storm. That storm was supposedly the reason for flying higher—so not the “conflict zone“—to 33,000 feet. In today’s version, there is no longer any mention of a “conflict zone,” but rather that the Russo-Ukrainian war was ongoing around Donetsk at that time. And: it was a scheduled flight. That, too, was not mentioned in the 2014 version. The word “conflict zone” has therefore been correctly changed. Nothing is written about the storm anymore. Why not, I wonder.

6c. The Wikipedia version of the MH17 today

Wikipedia: About 90 minutes after the incident, Ukraine closed all routes in Eastern Ukrainian airspace, at all altitudes. The incident dramatically heightened fears about airliner shoot-downs, leading to some airlines announcing that they would avoid flying over the conflict zones.
